The leading international exhibition "Ships and the Sea" anchored at Haifa and invites you to experience the scientific, technological and cultural aspects of sea, ships, sailing and seamen. Come sail with your imagination; feel closer to the sea, the ships and the port in an innovative and interactive exhibition.
Do not forget to get your seamen record book, which you will sign at various stations throughout the exhibition.

Come sail with us through a variety of exciting and interactive exhibits, experiencing the open sea, learning about navigation and sailing in strong wind and how to deal with a boat rolling in rough water. We invite you to hop on a motor boat and experience the fastest way to sail in order to save a man who fell into the water. You can also sit in our orange lifeboat. Stories of the sea will lead you into the depths of the ocean, to the study of sea life and diving to the Navy ship "Kidon" which is sunk in the Mediterranean Sea, not far from Nahariya.
Climb up to the deck of our ship, learn how to tie ropes and enter the bridge to learn about navigation and ship maneuvering. Here is an excellent opportunity to be photographed alongside the exhibit "Tmoondatek" with the card you received at the entrance.
Welcome to the harbor, where you can load and unload containers using a huge leverage and a neat simulator. Take control and maneuver a large cargo ship in a huge simulator, where remote-controlled boats sail through the port of Haifa. Make sure you do not miss the movie screened in our cinema container.
Before leaving the exhibition have a sit at the sailors club, listen to the songs of the sea and plan the ships of the future. Just before the exit take a photo with a parrot standing on your shoulder and grab a sword in your hand with our virtual reality exhibit: a worthy dessert of a wonderful experience.
The “Ships and the Sea” exhibition was created in the Science Museum "Eureka", located at Helsinki, Finland. The exhibition was adapted for display at MadaTech, by creating an atmosphere that matches Haifa and Israel, giving the exhibition a local flavor.
The exhibition offered visitors a lively experience of sea activities. From the open sea in sailing ships and boats, to the deck, bridge and sailing around the world, to the port, where we laid anchor, unloaded cargo and stopped for a rest at the sailors club.
The exhibition’s mission is to show visitors how the sea comes alive, and experience life at sea personally, through a variety of exciting, interactive and educating exhibits.
