Madatech embraces the Holocaust survivors community
Recently, a small housing shelter was established in Haifa's neighborhood of Hadar, dedicated for those who more than six decades ago survived concentration camps and today are broke, alone, sick or homeless and struggling to lead a respectful way of life. Madatech, in association with The Inner Wheel Club, have initiated a unique project aimed at offering the shelter's residents with some quality time and enable them to discover many fascinating types of content.
The first meeting was held at Madatech, situated within a walking distance from the shelter on Kessel St. Madatech was privileged by the opportunity and offered the honored guests some refreshments, courtesy of Madatech and The Inner Wheel Club. During the meeting, the guests discovered the magic of science and watched scientific demonstrations displayed by Madatech's Staff. They continued their visit at the Green Energy exhibition, where they received a guided tour through the interactive displays. This exciting meeting created close relations between the guests and their hosts, Madatech's staff and The Inner Wheel Club members. The survivors have expressed their deepest gratitude for the kind attention and the unique opportunity they received to forget about their daily troubles, enjoy the magic of science and meet with their new friends.
The Inner Wheel Club president, who has led this initiative said: "we have been rewarded much more than we have given". Madatech sees great importance in contributing the community. Madatech's staff and Ms. Shlomit Kirstein, the woman behind this initiative, are extremely proud of this communal action and believe it offers mutual benefit to all parties involved: the Holocausr survivors, The Inner Wheel Club members, Madatech's staff and the neighborhood in general. Ms. Kirstein hopes that this project will continue to be a success and spread further.
