Researchers' Night In Israel held on 20/09/10

On Monday, September 20th, 2010, Madatech's Doors opened for a night of science and fun.
This is the fifth year that Researchers' Night events were held in museums, academic institutions and science centers across Israel and all around European cities. The Israeli events are sponsored by the EU, in association with the Israeli Ministry of Science. Visitors benefited from an exceptional opportunity to peer into the depths of scientific and technological research, within the context of fascinating encounters with researchers and entertaining activities for the whole family.
This year the events took place simultaneously at Madatech and the Technion – Israel’s Technological institute, and hosted some of the finest researchers and scientists from Rambam Health Care Campus
This year's scientific themes were: Water and Environment Everyday Medicine Robotics – In honor of the international robotics year
Events included:
 Street Science - Various demonstrations, workshops and many other fascinating activities performed in our back yard, illustrating the implementation of top science and technology research findings in everyday life.
Family Science - Exciting and dynamic scientific action aimed at children, teenagers and adults catered for a family night of entertainment.
Science Show – Unique moments at Madatech's Cinematrix, dedicated to this extraordinary evening.
 Lab Science – Madatech’s staff presented various scientific demonstrations on robotics and water at Madatech Education Center laboratories. At the same time, the Technion staff held guided tours in selected Technion labs and demonstrated innovative developments in the water field.
 Meeting Researchers for Coffee Madatech embraces activities that contribute to a better understanding between scientists and the general public. in these encounters, the audience could celebrate the human face of research through meeting and talking to top researchers within the context of a relaxed atmosphere. On a cup of coffee, they could discuss and understand researchers’ work and scientific procedures.
 On Stage Science – Exciting lectures on the social relevance of science and technology in robotics, water, environment and everyday medicine were presented by Rambam doctors and other top researchers in the academy and industry.

All events on Researchers' Night were free of charge. Madatech's exhibitions were open to the public for free from 5pm to 10pm. As part of the events, entrance to The Robotic world was free, subject to availability.
