Science Centers Engagement and the Rio Summit MadaTech is one of seventeen science centers worldwide to participate in SCEnaRioS - Science Centers Engagement and the Rio Summit, sponsored by the Association of Science-Technology Centers (ASTC). The project aims to connect communities and young people with current research and cutting-edge science and technology that affect our environments and lives; and to engage young people around the globe in discussions on the environment, in preparation for the June 2012 Rio+20 Earth Summit. MadaTech students will focus on ways of reducing energy consumption and communicate their SCEnaRioS results, to the Rio+20 Earth Summit, through video conferencing with youth from other parts of the world.
