Young Scientific Leadership

Thirty tenth graders are taking part in MadaTech's new young scientific leadership program. In addition to learning about the Museum's interactive exhibits and being exposed to scientific thinking, youngsters get to meet scientists like Prof. Dan Schechtman, 2011 Nobel Laureate in Chemistry; and undergo training in areas that will make them effective Junior Museum Guides: as social interaction, standing before a public, and explaining science in a clear and attractive way. MadaTech is also training a cadre of 24 youngsters from ORT vocational schools in the region, both Druze and Jewish students, who will serve as junior physics instructors in their schools and as MadaTech guides during school breaks.
