Nasa's Astronaut Barbara Morgan Visits Madatech
Astronaut and teacher met with students from schools across Haifa
On February 1st, Nasa's educator astronaut and teacher Barbara Morgan visited Madatech and met with students from schools across Haifa.
The astronaut gave her fascinating lecture about her flight in space
to hundreds of students from schools across Haifa. Morgan told her story as one of the mission specialists, from boarding, landing in the International Space Station and entering back to Earth. Morgan answered students' questions about her personal experience and challenges in space and shared her unique life story as an astronaut exploring space.
The discussion was led by Madatech's scientific content manager, Dr. na'ama Gazit- Ya'ari.
Morgan had a close acquaintance with Israeli astronaut Ilan Ramon, with whom she studied in Nasa's astronauts class. She was very excited to visit Madatech's exhibition
There's No Place Too Far
, in memory of Ramon. Mr. Leon Reccanati, Madatech;s Chairman and Dr. Ronen Mir, Madatech's CEO, have presented her with the museum's many activities.
