A scientists’ night was held for the third time at Madatech, in association with the Technion – Israel’s Technological institute, Haifa

A night to Remember

As previously done in the last 2 years, a family night of scientific action took place all across Israel’s Science Museums and Universities, sponsored by the Ministry of Science, Culture and Sports and the European Union. The scientists’ night was also held all around Europe, on the following day. The event is aimed at promoting a positive attitude towards science and facilitating dialogue between scientists and the general public.



Enjoy the Science

The Science night at Madatech, is a unique experience revolving around the intriguing world of science. Extraordinary actions aimed at children, teenagers and adults, encompass exciting encounters with scientists, demonstrations, workshops, operations and many other fascinating activities. Amongst the topics that were presented are: health, Green Energy, Dinosaurs and evolution, Shapes and computerized image adaptation and Astrophysics.









Science stars



Scientists night hosted some of the finest doctors at Rambam Health Care Campus, top researches at their fields, who teach at the Technion’s medical school. Through face to face encounters with visitors, scientists encouraged public understanding of researchers’ work and scientific procedures. Furthermore, they exhibited up to date innovations in various fields and discussed social, cultural and essential issues, under scientific-technological contexts.

The scientists’ night examined  the following themes:

Energy – smart use of Green Energy – Energy produced by wind turbines, Solar Energy, Incl. air conditioning etc.
Medicine – a variety of medical and buo-medical engineering lectures.
Computerized Image Adaptation – photographing visitors and adapting it into a 3D photo, adapting pictures taken under water, and much more.

The Scientists Night focused on three main interactive exhibitions currently on display at Madatech: Green Energy, Smile! It’s Science and Dinosaurs of Patagonia.
