Exhibition in the streets of Haifa
When Science Meets Beauty
The Giants of Patagonia exhibition at Madatech is accompanied by an extraordinary event throughout the streets of Haifa, in an innovative venture, bridging the worlds of science and beauty.
When Science Meets Imagination
60 white dinosaurs, cast according to a model of Rebachisaurus Tesonei, arrived from the USA to meet the imagination of Israeli artists. They have attracted many of the artists to decorate them, according to their own unique vision and create an inimitable design, granting each dinosaur with a life of its own.
When Science Meets Creativity

The atmosphere in the workshop was electrifying. With great talent and creativity, each artist has turned its dinosaur from plain white to a work of art. Funny, scary, musical or cute, each dinosaur has obtained its special character through a different mix of colors. Amongst the artists who took part in this fascinating venture are 83 yrs old Moshe Novak, Dan Livni, Aviva Shemer, Varda Solel Yanai, Tamir Shefer, Boaz Belachssen, Andrei Chernikov, Natalie Smolkov, Adi Brodsley, Liz Melnik, Anat Zlihover and many more.
When Science Meets Community
In a significant initiative, expanding the relationship with the community, some of the dinosaurs were designed by children across Israel. Some were designed by the Reali School students. One dinosaur was colored by the staff and children hospitalized in the Hemato- oncological dpt. at the Meyer Children’s Hospital of Haifa, in the Rambam Medical Center. Another dinosaur was designed by 12 year old Almog Fridman, who won first prize in a designing competition drafted by Logi – an Israeli childrens’ channel, thus creating the first Logisaur.
When Science Meets People
The colorful dinosaurs have been launched to the streets of Haifa, giving science a presence in the community, interacting with the broad public and sparking the curiosity of people of all ages.
