It is what we are made of. It is our secret code. We are programmed by it. It is our inside information. It is a whole world of living. It is the world of DNA
The Spice of Life
It has been a lengthy journey of exploration from the days when it was believed that mice sprang naturally from wheat, under the theory of "spontaneous generation", to the days of the DNA research and breakthrough. Once again, nature is discovered at its ingenious. DNA is a macromolecule present in the cells of all living beings. It is a cornerstone, creating a specific identity for the individual. The exhibition highlights the contribution of scientists to the discovery of the secret of life, DNA, through interactive exhibits, allowing visitors to explore the role of genes in an individual’s DNA.
Larger than Life
Embark on a fascinating, colorful journey through the world of cells that constitute the human body. Enter into a model of the human cell, magnified by 1 million, at 4 meters (43 feet) wide and 7 meters (75 feet) tall. Watch the 46 chromosomes floating inside the cell and the work of genes.
Facts of Life
Discover the wonders of DNA and its amazing construction. Gain a glimpse into one of the miraculous processes inside every human being: the DNA sequencing, replication, transcription and translation, via 3D interactive models. Create an imaginary animal, through inventing its unique DNA.
Exhibition Curator, Dr. Livia Inbar: “the exhibition takes visitors on an amusing journey through the wonders of the genetic code to every life on this planet”.
